Maxtra Technologies has successfully launched the Beta Version of the Armed Forces Tribunal (AFT) Principal Bench website, marking a significant step forward in delivering justice to the armed forces community in a digital format that is more accessible, transparent, and efficient.

The Armed Forces Tribunal was opened on 8th August 2009 by Her Excellency, the President of India, as an independent judicial institution in relation to the armed forces. The Armed Forces Tribunal was constituted under Section 3 of the Armed Forces Tribunal Act, 2007, to exercise jurisdiction and powers to adjudicate and trial all disputes and complaints concerning commission, appointments, enrolments, and conditions of service under the Army Act, 1950, Navy Act, 1957, and Air Force Act, 1950. It also acts upon appeals from orders, findings, or sentences of courts-martial to ensure fair redress for the personnel who serve the Nation.

The AFT uses a structured composition of Benches. Its Principal Bench is located in New Delhi, with Regional Benches in Chandigarh, Lucknow, Kolkata, Guwahati, Chennai, Kochi, Mumbai, Jabalpur, Srinagar, and Jaipur. Judicial Members are retired High Court Judges, while Administrative Members are distinguished retired Armed Forces officers with the rank of Major General, or equivalent rank, who have served at that rank for at least three years or a  former JAG (Judge Advocate General) who has served for at least one year in the position.

The launch took place at the Armed Forces Tribunal (Principal Bench), West Block-VIII, Sector-I, R.K. Puram, New Delhi – 110066, in the presence of several esteemed dignitaries:
