Delhi High Court

The High Court of Delhi was established on 31st October, 1966. Initially, the High Court of Judicature at Lahore, which was established by a Letters Patent dated 21st March, 1919, exercised jurisdiction over the then provinces of the Punjab and Delhi. This position continued till the Indian Independence Act, 1947 when the dominions of India and Pakistan were created.

CRI

Central Research Institute (CRI) is pioneer in the field of vaccines not only in India but in the world. Founded on 3rd of May 1905, the Institute was originally established with a mandate of research work in the field of medical and public health, manufacture of vaccines and antisera, human resource development and to act as a national referral centre for public health problems. The contribution of the Institute towards vaccine production during the period of the Second World War for the immunization of troops to keep them fighting fit, finds no parallel.

This Act of 1922 marked an important change from the preceding Act VII of 1918 by shifting the administration of income tax from the hands of Provincial Government to the Central Government.

Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC)

Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) is an Autonomous Institution of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. IPC is created to set standards of drugs in the country. Its basic function is to update regularly the standards of drugs commonly required for treatment of diseases prevailing in this region. It publishes official documents for improving Quality of Medicines by way of adding new and updating existing monographs in the form of Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP). It further promotes rational use of generic medicines by publishing National Formulary of India. IP prescribes standards for identity, purity and strength of drugs essentially required from health care perspective of human beings and animals. IPC also provides IP Reference Substances (IPRS) which act as a finger print for identification of an article under test and its purity as prescribed in IP.

ICSI

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is the only recognized professional body in India to develop and regulate the profession of Company Secretaries in India. It is a premier national professional body set up under an act of Parliament, the Company Secretaries Act, 1980. ICSI functions under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. The Institute provides top-quality education to the students of Company Secretaries (CS) Course and best quality set standards to CS Members. At present, there are more than 65,000 members and around 2.5 Lakhs students on the roll of ICSI.

The National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) was established in 1953 by the Government of India with the primary goal of promoting, developing, and commercializing technologies/know-how/inventions/patents/processes emanating from various national R&D institutions / Universities and is currently working under the administrative control of the Dept. of Scientific & Industrial Research. NRDC has forged strong links with the scientific and industrial communities in India and abroad over the past six decades, in pursuit of its corporate goals, and has developed a wide network of research institutions, academia, and industry, and has made formal arrangements with them for the commercialization of know-how developed in their laboratories, and is now recognized as a large researcher.

Under the overall aegis of ASEAN-India Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation Program, the Department of Science and Technology (DST) of the Government of India has entrusted the job to manage and coordinated the ASEAN-India Innovation Platform (Research Innovation component) to National Research Development Corporation (NRDC).

Shyam Lal College was founded by Late Padma Shree Shyam Lal Gupta, Chairman, Shyam Lal Charitable Trust in the year 1964. The foundation stone of the College was laid by Late Dr. Zakir Hussain, the then Hon’ble Vice President of India and Chancellor of University of Delhi on May 24, 1964.

VisoNxt is undertaking a mammoth task of amalgamating the plurality of India through an expression of fashion foresights that is indegenous and unique to this country. While India has 22 official languages, it is a home to 121 languages and 270 mother tongues. It houses hundreds of different tribes, and inhabits every major religion in the world. It is a tropical country with varied climatic conditions within the country. This diversity makes India a unique subject to research and understand in the context of fashion consumption and human expression. India is also one of the youngest countries in the world with more than 62% of the population in the working age group (15-59 years) and more than 54% of the total population below 25 years of age. This young demographic is impacting the lifestyle, mindset and fashion in India and needs to be mapped to derive insights from emerging cohorts.

In the year 1964, a high-level group appointed by the Government of India under the Chairmanship of the late Prof. D.R.Gadgil to assess the training needs of the co-operative sector, recommended the setting up of a National Institute which would undertake the training of senior personnel in the co-operative institutions/departments, conduct fundamental/applied research and provide consultancy services, organize courses in business management for senior personnel in cooperative business organizations and train the youth on various facets of Management. Central Institute of Management for Consumer's Business (CIMCOB) was merged with the National Cooperative College and Research Institute (NCCRI) to form the present National Institute.

Rasaoi

Lt Gen Rajendra Sinhji, DSO, the first General Officer Commanding of Indian Army's Southern Command, first mooted the idea of establishing Officer's Institute to provide a meeting place for Army Officers and their families to avail social, recreational and sporting facilities, thus RSI, Bangalore was established in 1961. The Institute is an extension of HQ K & K Sub Area Officers’ Mess and has been redisignated as Rajendra Sinhji Army Officers.
